Black Brake Pipes?

Recommended Posts

chrisj21

hi everyone, this may seem a strange question but have done a search and cant find any info.

im rebuilding my 205 gti from scratch and being a bit of a perfectionist im looking to get some black metal brake pipes as seen on newer cars.

any ideas???? where and prices???

i dont mind making all the connections myself so i dont need a kit as such.

any help much appreciated

thanks

Yes they are plastic/ resin coated, but i have only ever seen them manufacturer specific and they come pre formed and pre bent

Really not worth the effort is it? I can imagine painting thin copper pipe to be a pita!

Once it started to crack and fall off it would look a bit poo.

Why not use thin walled PVC/silicone/acrylic/heatshrink/wrap tubing?

yea i guess that would be a pain as you cant just unclip them and repaint them.

i shall have ago and see what happens

thanks

I believe miles and others perhaps can supply silver braided hose running straight from MC to rear caliper/drum.

It looks rather shiny.
