Guest Stu@ Posted March 28, 2007 Hi Im in the middle of plumbing in my mi16 and think Ive got most of it done...Ive done a search but cant find the specific info I need......... Why do I block off the metal hose coming out of the back of the thermostat? I was gonna connect one of the hoses coming out through the bulkhead to it (for the heater matrix?) secondly I have two hoses coming from the top of the expansion tank...one connects to the radiator, where do I connect the other one to? cheers in advance! Ryan 99 Posted March 29, 2007 These are some I did for someboy a while ago: This is with everything fitted. Yellow are 205 hoses, red are mi16 hoses. The only thing blocked off is the pipe from the throttle body to the thermostat housing. This is without the water-oil cooler. The spare outlet on the header tank is either blocked off, or connected to the throttle body along with the thermostat hose from above. In this case you can use the 205 thermostat cover as it doesn't have the extra outlet for the oil cooler. This is the simplest way. No oil cooler as above, and the metal pipe on the head is removed. You need the 205 water distribution block from the rear of the engine as it has 2 outlets instead of 3.

pugman211 0 Posted April 8, 2007 (edited) heres how i've just done my Mi16 - but i have yet to decide what to do with the throttle body. blank it off or plumb it in. think it will have to be the latter as the pipe from the bottom of the TB has a sensor on it...... forgot to mention mine is a 309 gti Edited April 8, 2007 by pugman211
