mikeyd 13 Posted February 10, 2007 anyone know what compression test reading to expect on a 1600 pug just done mine and the results were 1--140 2--180 3--125 4--110 seemed a bit random to me been trying to sort out a misfire and very loud backfire on overrun[ my neighbour came out to see what the bang was]!! have changed the plugs , dizzy leads with no luck hence comp test Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

They should have all been around 180. Put a squirt of oil down each hole and do it again. This will reveal whether it's a valve or ring problem. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
