Which Management For Nissan 3.5 V6?

Recommended Posts

Rippthrough

Can't decide between them - the V6 runs coil on plug btw, we have one on haltech, but don't want that route again as we had a couple of ignition driver problems.

Need:

Batch fire (not bothered about sequential)

Inlet cam advance/retard (think it's on/off for the V6)

Enough drivers to run the coils.

A stepper output for secondary throttle bodies would be nice, but really needed.

Now, the Emerald might fulfil those functions if the cam control can come off one of it's switched outputs - but I'm not sure how they trigger on/off yet :D

I think I'm right in saying none of the OMEX will be useful apart from the 710?

The DTA 60 and 80 seem to tick the boxes, and has cam control inherent in the software - however it's unclear whether or it has to have a cam angle sensor for the cam control - as it can run variable as well as switched systems.

I was leaning toward Emerald, but the DTA box is shinier!

Anyone have any first hand experience with the DTA setup.

I'll have to email them about the cam control, bit far to go to get it mapped by them though. Should be just within the measurement range for his RR, on this engine anyway.

P.S. - How much discount did you get on the emerald?

So £30. You'd have got £58 if you used the discount from here :D

Other thing to consider is who will map it. Dave Walker is very good, so another plus point for the K3.
