Anyone got any ideas as to how you make these out of the current 205 setup.

I've got a spare so don't mind butchering it.

Take the ratchet out of the handbrake, turn it upside down and refit.

Remember not to press the button if doing handbrake turns or you will lock the lever in the up position - if you do, just lift it further to release

here's an extremely cheap and a very handy solution i've used for autotests and stuff:

- press and hold the button

- drill with a small drill bit through the handle and the button

- insert a rivet/pin/something through the hole

...and you've got yourself a fly-off handbrake with an added benefit of no accidental locking :D.

when you need to lock it again, just take the rivet out :(.

hope this helps.

Or you can just push the button in and tape a penny over the end if its just for one off events. Works perfectly.

what i did is file all the teeth off the ratchet system and drilled a hole for when the hand brake is in the on position and stick a pin in when parked, took 10 mins  just make sure you have a nice smooth finnish, of you could just pull the ratchet out and drill a hole? if ya want il take a pic of it tonight as i took it out for the m.o.t

I like the drilled handbrake button when i've built cars

its cleaner, simplier and you cant really tell u've drilled a hole, so no butchering required
