Anybody know what size brake pipe I need for my 1.6?

I recently bought a flaring kit so thought I do it my self but don't know what size pipe I should be buying?

Cheers

Mitch

Try and steer clear of the steel stuff it's a bugger to flair. The copper is more expensive but you will make a good safe job of your flairs/ends and it's easier to bend into shape.

I've got a 10 meter roll of copper unused that I want to sell. I am in the process of doing my brake lines and already had enough from a previous roll so this one won't be of any use to me (unless I messed up and cut too short).

I am finishing the job tomorrow so I'll be able to tell you thenn if my roll is still complete.

PM me if interested

Its the postage that adds the price up, I can get a 25m roll of 3/16 copper brake pipe for about £6 at my local motor factors & unions for 10p each.

Graham.

I think you will find that it has gone up very recently due to the price of copper going through the roof.

Maybe old stock though. :)
