Can I Use A Huge Battery?

Recommended Posts

sorr

My girlfriends car got written off and with me being a tight Scotsman I held onto the few month old battery. It is from a Clio diesel (62Ah 340/600 according to the Euro Car Parts website).

Given my 205, if I actually finish it, will just be a weekend toy and not used very often it makes sense to have a decent battery to keep the alarm going, etc. But will the battery be too much for the ancient and feeble wiring?

If it fits, it'll be fine - I used to run an Audi A6 battery in mine :D

It'll be fine. The electrics in the car won't draw any more power from the battery than they need to work, so using a more powerful battery won't overload anything. In fact it can make the battery last a lot longer as you aren't putting as much strain on it.
