how easy is it in a 405 then?

 

about the same id guess, but is the 605 V6 a similar subframe and mounting?

yup, quite similar, as are all pugs really!

 

405 has been done as has a 306.

Super work Hilgie - you are the man.

I'd love to do a crazy conversion like that but for now Gti-6 is realistic.

 

How do those driveshafts cope with the chop?

Weight is not much higher than a castiron GTi6 or 2.0T engine. The V6 is full aluminium engine. Quite light.
