Beam And Trailing Arm Shaft Dimensions

Recommended Posts

V8Pete

Hello

Does anyone know what the diameters of the rear beam and trailing arm shafts are supposed to be where the bearings sit?

Thanks.

Hi,

I finally got around to measuring a shaft last night, although I forgot to bring the paper with me.

I will post it up tonight.

Higgy.

I did about 100 times, and I'm typically a good searcher but couldn't find anything except my own

Would be interested in a link to your results to see how they compare with Higgy's.

Here be it:

Thanks

so the outer bearing dimensions would be 54mm Od, 47mm Id and IIRC 20 mm deep?

and the inner bearings 42mm Id but whats the O.d?

I'm a bit confused by that diagram! cant work out what the figures on the left mean as they dont make sense

I may have found a source of good bearings other than Peugeot.

The figures on the left are the dimensions of the shaft where it fits into the swing arm.

( I knew I should have drawn it to BS 8888 :o )

People like Anthony, who buy bearings a lot should be able to give you the dimensions.

Bearings usually have the dimensions stamped on them.

Higgy.
