Rebuilding Brake Servo?

Recommended Posts

vern

I have been into peugeot to get a price for a new servo £136, but they listed a kit and was unsure if this is a rebuild kit there was 2 listed (DBA and TEVES) both were under £20.

Has anyone done a rebuild if so what did they use??.

yes easy enough to get from a scrappy but will all be a minimum of 12 years old, and will all need repairing soon, and as I have the front of the car stripped thought would renew or refurb while all apart.

i see your repairing it for peace of mind. dont tend to hear about them failing that often though.

if peugeot list it there should be some diagrams showing what's included, thatll give you some idea of what's involved.

Yes bren just don't want to get it back together and it break on me.

welshpug was hoping someone had done it to shed some light on which of the 2 kits to use, as main stealers could not shed any light on which one to use either.

of what I can see on the PCD the 2 kits are slightly different.

it may depend on the manufacturer of your servo? are there any ID marks on it? or would it need removing?

heres a screenprint of the page in question - 205brakeservo.jpg

My bad should read more! Theres not a lot inside a servo, dont think i've ever heard of one completely stop working, can leak sometimes, even if it didnt work you would still have brakes..
