2l Turbo Piston

Recommended Posts

Guest s.odedra

I got a 2l turbo 8v

The cam belt slipped a few teeth n then the engine wouldnt fire up.. No compression guessed bent inlet / exhaust valves so just taken the head of and noticed the pistons have got small chips on them where the valves hit them

Do you think pistons well need replacing???

Ill post some picture in the morning

give them a good scrubbing and file away any sharp edges, Ive put an engine back together that had much worse and it was fine (no bent vales either!! VW diesel pistons must be soft  )
