Ignition Amp

Recommended Posts

Livelee

I've just bought a new ignition system for my mi16 309. Coil, leads, ignition amp, dizzy and rotor. Replaced everything but I can't find where my ignition amp is. Is it possible that I haven't got one? If I should have one where should it be?

Many Thanks

Dan

what management is it running?

IIRC if its the same/similar to a 205 it'll be on the l/h inner wing just behind the battery near the strut top, might be just behind the coil if its mounted there.

No idea, sorry. I just drive it and pay for stuff when it stops working.

Do these pictures help at all?

We looked "everywhere" for it and couldn't find it. If I knew what plugged into it and where it goes to and from it might help locate it.

Many Thanks

Dan

Does that help?

Cheers

the dizzy and coil connect to it in various ways.

though from the look of it you're running 1.9 Mi16 management, of which I dont know much about whjen theyre installed into 309's!

Well the dizzy connects to the 4 plugs and the coil. The coil has a connector on the bottom that goes into a loom but the amp is nowhere to be seen. If I've definately got one i'll have a better look tomorrow, but it's not in an obvious place if I do have one.
