calvinhorse 870 Posted September 25, 2006 ok the interior of my car keeps filling with water so i poked out the rubber gromets in the wheel arches which released water from the sills but when parked on a hill facing upwards more water came through the lower seatbelt hole, which was obviously beeing held in the sill still! when down the pit in the garage i noticed a drain hole near the front jacking points, i gave it a poking out with abit of wire. then water started to come out!! 5 PINTS!!! must have weighed loads and made a mess of the sill!! just thought id share this bit of knowledge!! IanG Dorset 0 Posted May 18, 2007 Hi, I think i may have the same problem but i cant find these holes as i think it has been re-painted over them at some point. Can any one point me in the right direction? What side of the jacking point? Thanks Ian
TEKNOPUG 3 Posted May 19, 2007 About 6inches from the wheel arch at either end of the car. Just feel along the sill behind the welded flange. Never understood the logic of having the rubber plugs - why not simply leave the holes open so that the water drains away automatically?? Either remove the plugs completely or cut a hole in them (that's what I've done).
