406 Into A 205

Recommended Posts

i'm thinking of buying a 406 turbo and running it for a while until i do the obvious conversion into the 205.

what other bits could i transplant to the 205, ie brakes, hubs etc?

no need to use the hubs as the original driveshafts will fit the gearbox.

brakes use a different offset to the 1.9 hubs but a GTi6 or similar will suffice.

it is currently on 1.6 hubs, so they need changing anyway. i thought it may save a bit of cash if i could use the 406 ones.

that's a shame, i think i'll have a look into the citroen turbo's then as they seem to fetch less money and have been driven less enthusiastically.

id say the citroen turbos have probably been driven harder given the superior handling over the 406

keep hold of the gearbox if its manual... i think they fit the v6:P
