Cti Rear Plastic Window Problem

Recommended Posts

SaneMan

Haven't posted on here for a very long time now, feels like years.

Have kept my sorrento 1.9 going and just got hold of a CTI this week.

The roof is in perfect condition but the rear plastic window is scratched to buggery.

Looks like they've tried to write something on there with a key.

Is there any way to polish or t-cut this out? I am not sure if the roof is all one piece or

the plastic window can be replaced. Would appreciate all advice from fellow CTI owners who

may have experienced this problem.

Cheers

Factory roof has a separate window, zips out (mainy) but with some aftermarket units windows are integral.

does your window attatch with velcro on the sides? if so should have a separate windoow panel- think about £130 !

(hope this makes sense- had a few tonight!)

Do Not use that lovely floor polish that dries on a lino/vinyl floor, covering the scratches and giving a deep shine  (I found out the hard way!)

Thanks guys. I checked it and it does have the velcro and the zips so it must be an original

factory one. Gonna try to polish it out as you said. Probably have to be a special order from Pug dealer. Failing that will have to look out for somebody breaking a CTI on ebay.

There was a complete roof on ebay. Might be worth a look.
