Refurb Wheels Help.

Recommended Posts

Guest Smartshark

Hi,

Having just finished polishing and generally tidying up my recently purchased CTI I thought I would get the wheels refurbished.

I have been quoted £55 a wheel to have them refurbished so I have decided they are not that bad and can wait until next year.

However in the meantime I thought I would have a go myself with an old tatty set purchased off *bay to give me something to do over the winter. See how they turn out and then decide if to use them or not.

Would anyone know where I can get them shot/bead blasted in the Reading area and how much it may cost?.

Thanks,

Paul

I had my wheels refurbed at a place in Birmingham called Laptab at a cost of £25 per wheel.

They did a good job and if you get to them in the morning you can get them done by the end of the day. Check with them first.

Have a look through yell.com for one in your area

Shot blasting can be between £10-£20 a wheel depending on where you go.

Welcome to the forum, I guess you've not had a chance to look over the entire site yet then (http://www.205gtidrivers.com) as there are some articles on wheel refurbishment:

Give it a go yourself, if it goes wrong then you've lost nothing (maybe a few quid) and can still get them shot blasted
