willxs 0 Posted July 9, 2006 on the missus's xs, i noticed that when i went round a slight bend the stop light flickered on but didnt notice the oil light come on. (first thought would be an oil surge) plan on changing the oil soon anyway as not sure how it was done or when it was last changed. just seeing if anyone might have any other ideas as to what it could be, or if it is the pump, is there any easy way to sort it out without replacing it? i.e. a good clean or a new spring? Cheers, will

Grim.Badger 15 Posted July 10, 2006 I've just had a similar problem but got much worse by the end. Change the warning light sender for a nice new one. If it's the same as the XU sender then you could use a scrapyard one from a 406 like I did and have a practically new sender for £1. It's worth ruling this out for £1. You may need a deep set 22mm socket to get it out though.
