Where Do The Connectors Go ? Mi16

Brought home an mi16 engine last week ready to go in my sorrento 205, just been looking at the wiring loom tonight and have a rough idea where some of the plugs go but not the majority !

Can anyone help or is there an old thread covering this (have already looked with search)

I'm fairly sure that all the plugs cannot be cross connected as they are keyed to the specific item.

 

If not check the wire number on them & look at a wiring diagram, should make it clear that way.

 

Injectors are batch fired so not important on order, coolant temp sensor is usually blue plug / sensor so they match up & CAS sensor is shielded so obvious where it goes to.

Depending on what age mi16 you have, then you may be able to interchange connectors for injectors, idle valve and knock sensor.

 

Easiest thing to do is post pictures of the connectors or say what car the loom is from and how many rows of pins the ecu connector has.
