Tu5, Hot Engine... What´s Possible With This Setup?

Hi friends,

 

I´m bulding new engine. It´s a TU5 1,6L 8V (has Multipoint-Injection with wasted spark-coils!) with 88 HP standard-power.

I will make some mods on the engine (or I allready bulding this engine,

nearly finished).

 

The standard CR is 9,6:1, and we have machined the head 0,6mm (it´s about

10,4:1 CR I think).

 

Then I use this cam:

 

284°

108° king pin angle

11,3mm valve lift

2,5mm valve lift at TDC

34/70 - 70/34

 

and we also will install an AIRBOX with short inlet-way, and later also

a 4-2-1 manifold.

 

In the end I will to go on dyno to tune the ECU (I think limiter to 7500 RPM)...

 

 

Now my question, how much HP will I get with this setup?

i recon about 350 brake at the wheels. if you tweek the fu fu valve though you could be pushing 400.

Should see 135-140bhp I'd say

If it's a greytop - then it has roller rockers.. The you probably won't be able to fit that cam. And you most definately need new springs. 11.3mm - then the pistons needs a bit of pocketing..
