Decided not to fit an mi and going back to my 1.9 lump and just modify it. So would like to know what you guys think round here maybe some mod tips......

I keep thinking the same.

 

Was convinced I was going to keep the 8v lump and keep looking at the Puma Racing site to see when Dave might be able to fit me in for a BV head and then eventually adding TBs. However, 160bhp seems a lot cheaper down the Mi16 route and you've still got the BV and TB route later if funds allow.

 

Also got to convince her indoors... ...

If you are not using it for motorsport where you need the original 8v.

I think mi16 is the way to go its more powerful and get more MPG

no point chucking money at a 8v to get the same power as a MI16

He's in Malta though, so perhaps its hard to get mi16's over there.

 

First route with the 8v is going to be getting the head to flow a lot better, as the standard head is quite restrictive.

 

I've never tried it myself, but the xu10 head, found on most older 2 litre 8v citreons, 306's etc is said to be the best flowing, biggest valved, bolt on head available.
