Ball Joint V Quick Question

ive taken both the wishbones off the pug and one of the ball joints is quite stiff but the other one wobbles about a couple o cm very easily before going stiff

 

is it knackered yea?

I would say so yes, did you not check them when they were still on the car? Ever driven the car?

yea when i was driving the car it was doing the usual jurking to the left and suspected to bushes but discovered it to be the joint

Sounds like it... hard to tell what you consider 'loose' to be but a new ball joint is a tight as a tight thing so looks like new wishbone time :blush:

Ahl

If the ball joint can be moved about in its housing, so it knocks if you see what I mean, then its knackered.

is it just loose, or is there any play in it?

 

when they're worn, you can usually move the pin up and down in the cup

 

 

i wouldn't say it's a bin job if it's just loose
