Worn Clutch Cover?

Recommended Posts

Jer309GTi

I took this clutch off of my old 309 engine, and it looks to me like the fingers of the cover are knackered. Are they supposed to have this ridge in them, or is it worn?

For the sake of a few quid I'd replace that... I take it your doing a clutch or have you just pull the 'box off your engine?

Was the release bearing O.K.

It could be the cause.

They come with new clutches anyway (from GSF)

It's off my old 309 engine. I split the box and engine to check the clutch. I've got a new one somewhere, not sure where I put it! Thanks for the replies btw

Definately worn beyond use. You get them in a new clutch kit so replacement is no hassle.

Looks better than the one on my TD though when I did the clutch last year.
