Removing Paint To Fit A Mudflap

Recommended Posts

Guest Crowley

One of the previous owners of my 205 had the underseal re-applied and a re-spray. Unfortunately they sprayed over one of the mudflap mounting bolts

I want to fit new mudflaps to protect the underside, but am worried of chipping/stripping away the paint from the bolt and letting water get under the paint job.

Should I leave it as it is or get chipping?

Hmmm.. tricky one... you planning on keeping the car for long? If so them probably best left as is, but if you tend to change your cars quite regulalerly then fit the flaps and don't worry about it as it will probably end up someone elses issue (bit tight but there you go!)
