4-2-1 Mi16 Manifold To Mate With Standard Pug Exhaust

Recommended Posts

kenan

I'v got a MI16 conversion, done by Miles with a 4-2-1 manifold currently connected to a magnex system. This is to loud for me, drones so was thinking of changing to the standard system manifold back. I assume this will make the car much more quite as it a standard MI16 engine with just an air filter, or are MI's loud??

Will the standard system mate to the 4-2-1 manifold (pug racing I think?) or will I need something to fit them. If not will pop off down to the local exhaust place and get one fitted. Thats a point where is the cheapest to get a genuine pug system (1990 H plate car)

Miles

The std Phase 2 system (2") bolts on to the adaptor pipe coming from the flexi joint with some minor adjustment so I doudt a local exhuast place would have a clue. SuperJosh's car has this along with some one else's and works well, Better than the Magnex really

Super Josh

As Miles says, i have this on my car and it mates up to the downpipe nicely and keeps the same bore throughout the system, unlike the phase 1 or Grp N systems, which are a narrower bore. And it's nice and quite too, with just a little rasp above 4K. so it's good on the motorway too.
