Doing Away With Central Locking.

What is involved with removing the central locking system on a 205 but still retaining the locks and internal handle for normal locking operation? Has anyone done it?

Just take the motors out of the door.

Think they're held in with a couple of screws and are just hooked onto the mechanism which works fine without them being there

Oh, in that case my question has made me look abit simple! Didn't realise it was that easy. Had it in my mind that everything linked directly to the motor. Cheers

Dead simple, I had a problem with one of my motors not working so I just took it off.

you could even just unplug the wires going to the motor, even simpler

Technically its not the complete system, just the motors. You would need to strip the wiring out to make it the complete system, and that a pain in the arse coz it involves taking the dash out.

The wiring has all been binned. If no one wants the motors before I take them out they'll be binned aswell.
