Greenys_meanies 0 Posted February 7, 2006 (edited) Can anyone help please...... I'm currently converting a 205 to 1.3 Rallye spec for oval stock car racing (129?cc not 1360cc). does anyone know of the differences between a 1.3 rallye and other models? eg suspension, gti or other? engine specs? is the 309 1.3 the same engine, just different carbs? Thanks for any help Daz Edited February 7, 2006 by Greenys_meanies
Greenys_meanies 0 Posted February 7, 2006 (edited) Sorry XU/XY engine not TU Edited February 7, 2006 by Greenys_meanies
Sandy 191 Posted February 8, 2006 The British (RHD) 205 Rallye was 1360cc with base model suspension and brakes, the european one (LHD) was 1294cc with 1.6 GTi suspension and brakes. Both use TU engines, LHD being alloy block, RHD Iron block. The 1.3 engine used in 309's until 1991 is not a TU unit, it's based on the older Simca/Chrysler Alpine engine. The 309 only got the TU engine in late 1991.
