The bottom balljoint rubber has split but there is no play in the joint itself so will it still fail its MOT?

I don't think so. My mates 205 had a split rubber and no play and it passed. As long as it is clean and no large clumps of grese around it you should be grand.

I'm not so sure. I've had a car fail an MOT on ball joint rubber...though it wasn't just that.

If it's a small split, you might be able to superglue it for an MOT?!?!

Surely though, at some point, it's going to need replacing anyways?

Yeah if it's split the joint's gonna wear much quicker. Depends how friendly your tester's feelin methinks mate
