405 Sri Gear Ratios & Fd (be-1) ?

Hi all,

 

I would appreciate if anyone has some info on the gear ratios & FD that is

fitted to a BE-1 gearbox off a 1990 405 SRi (with XU9-JAZ / DKZ engine fitted,

Motronic and CAT).

 

Any ideas ?

So which models have the 3.94:1 diff that we got in our 1.9L GTi's? I couldn't imagine them being a small run.

Seems there's some variation in these ratios depending on source. That pic I scanned in above is from a UK Haynes manual for the 405 from 1990. But when I just checked the Gear ratios spreadsheet created by Joakim Nilsson it has the 1.9 carb 405 with 3.94:1 diff. Maybe they changed the ratios at some point.
