Recon Rear Beams

folks i`m just curious to what a recon rear beam is? can someone explain? as in what is taken off and replaced?

A search would dig out many threads... but loosly it's replacing the beam bearings and seals... though usually you find the stub axle's are shot as well depending on how knackered the beam is...

Basically as Jon said - a reconditioned rear beam is one that's been stripped down and overhalled, with the bearings and seals having been changed along with any parts that are worn/damaged.

thanks for that, i`ve had a load of experience rebuilding saxo axles but i would never say they were "reconned" if you know what i mean. just i wondered for the price folk charge, i thought there was more to it to be honest.
