bobs205 0 Posted December 31, 2005 How would i mount the alternater on my 2ltr mi16 because the bracket that came with the engine was the one with power steering and air con pump and the belt is about 3ft long and i don't wont them. This bracket hold's the alternater from the bottom of the block were as the 1.9 mi16 is held on the mount from the top? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
DrSeuss 0 Posted January 3, 2006 not sure how the pas pump mounts but on mine i've just got a single metal bar running down to the alternator from the engine mount i think. Anyway, that then holds the alternator in place and its hinged at the bottom. Your local motorfactors should have a selection of alternator belts so work out which one will fit.
