Good Snow Tyres?

not that im paranoid or anything but.. :o

 

my cti is now shod with F1s and its snowed.. a lot!! what tyres are good for snow? and does the size matter?? 185/55 vs 195/50, etc.. is it worth geting a set of part worn other makes put on the spare alloys or are F1s not THAT bad? :D

Generally for snow, you want the thinnest tyres with the chunkiest/deepest tread. That said, we only get a few days of snow a year down 'Saaf so it hardly seems worth worrying about to me - F1's are far from brilliant on snow but they're useable in my experience.

I found Toyo Snow tyres were ace,

 

Cheap and hard wearing and really good grip, had to bin one today as some nice person had slashed the side wall!!!!! Gutted :)
