... Driver training vs 3Lb torque... well I intend to prove this year how much 50 hp gives and how much driver training gives and my hunch is driver skill can negate even large chunks of power, yet most don't bother...!

 

 

Aint that the truth! 3Nm improvement on the before/after dyno chart at the pub on a Friday night is lot more impressive than a Certificate from the driving training course.

can't you use a hall effect dizzy? For a cam sensor?

 

With a TDC sensor on the crank pulley?

 

Would be relatively inexpensive.

 

Having an s16 i could go fully sequential for the cost of the mapping and injectors. Driver training is still more use though :blink:

The XU10J4 cam sensor and thermostat assembly fits on an XU9J4 head. The trick is to fit the cam seal BEFORE pressing on the cam sensor tang. The XU10 head doesn't have a cam seal on that end.

 

The home or reference signal needs to be just one pulse per engine revolution.
