am I reading it correct that you have reatained the complete standard ignition system, trigger from reluctor on the disi, locked dissi, standard coil and ignition module running stock rev counter?

is there any problems running initialy on ignition only on carbs with full fuel injection system, there would be no problems of damaging the outputs to the injectors on the ECU or can these be isolated on ignition only?

 

there's no problem if you don't hook up injectors on any ECU, as the ECU just earths the injector. In the Haltech E6X however, you can also turn off the injectors in the software. A usefull feature when you're doing a compression test, testing ignitions etc.

Thanks for that Petert, which ignitor have you used for the ignition output? I've downloaded the E6X manual and it's got some great info, there is allso a distributer not far away in Wakefield.

Just the standard 205 ignitor and set the Haltech ignition output to "constant charge" and 3ms to begin with. You can vary the time to suit the coil being used.
