I picked up this old girl back in July, with the intention that me and my son would do it together as a little project.

Having owned a supercharged 205 gti-6 and an MI16 205 (countless 306 gti-6's including a couple of 306 V6's) I wanted to get something with a solid base and bought this from "Dave" and picked it up locally near Gloucester

I've already got to work on her by going round getting rid of the rust - which so far has been OK, with no welding needed .....yet.

Front bumper mounts were slightly shot so pratcised my platic weld skills

Lots of plans...

1) Sort out the ride height - slightly lower

2) New wheels... already ordered and on the car

3) New exhaust needed

4) Throttle bodies, cams and management

5) Sort out the flipping panel gaps on the front (Whoever painted the car put the panels back on blind is my theory).

What i've done

1) Full service (Oil, filters, plugs and coolant)

2) New Wheels

3) Adjusted the front coilovers to sit lower

4) De-rust and underseal all round

5) removed the grill "livery"

Managed to get a day to start the supercharger installation;

- Replace the fuel pump for Walbro 255 pump

- Replace ECU with tuned/mapped for the supercharger

- 440cc Green Injectors

- Supercharger Inlet installation and supercharger mount plate.

Overall about 10 hours minus lunch and some dinner but I'm praying this is the bulk of the hard part done.

Slightly concerned as theres not much room between the SC pulley and chassis leg but it does go in nicely.

Ordered one of these as the intercooler - https://www.toyosports.co.uk/front-mount-intercooler-type-s-550x140x65mm-25-inout-1043-p.asp

Fits behind the standard valance and seen its used by some low boost rotrex civics - but not there yet, although exiciting that I'm thinking about that stage!!

Looking Good !

That's going to go very well with a supercharger :wub:, what power are you expecting ?

Plan to be anywhere between 230 and 260bhp - so will probably land somewhere in the 240's.

Still need to lower the rear torsion bars as it sits a little too high for my liking - ideally hoping to find somebody to do this for me, as my experience of doing them in the past is terrible!

Another half day spent on this;

Managed to get the charger in place, extended the loom for the throttle body, plumb the oil cooler for charger;

Worked out that that its needs 4m of extra loom to extend for the throttle body sensors - this look way longer than I wanted (around 2 hours)

Then I can finally get the charger locked in place and now starting to feel like its nearly done!

 Not sure where to put the oil cooler for the charger but going to get the intercooler plumbed in next then will worry about the charger. Still needing somebody to get the rear torsion bars lowered - done some phoning around and nobody wants to take on the job...

Making good progress, I'm not really surprised at no one wanting to touch the rear axle as its likely to turn into a can of worms , I need to raise mine up and not sure if I can be ars*d , will wait till after mot now I think , despite everything being free last year !

These aren't as bad as you might think to sort, plenty of AC 90 ... a bit of patience and a few hand tools should make short work of it, there's a guide on the forum aswell which is really handy !

Nice to see she's having something different added, when i had her in 2001 - 13 she's been  : standard 1.9 > Mi16 >Mi16 on throttle bodies> Xu10j4 ( with a 2.1 conversion) > GTi6

Small tidy up of the cables and putting some cable trunking so they don't melt.
