Bridged the relay, made no difference until I clamped the return hose to tank with grips ,i could get to 2.5 bar on gauge but not consistently

Pumped system up with tyre inflator and holds at 3 bar ?

Will go way over when I restrict return hose

Rubber supply hose collapsing internally?

System held 3 bar for several minutes, does this rule out leaky Injectors?

Pump delivers around 3 litres per minute with relay bridged

I assume that's ample ?

yes, standard pump is 180Lph so 3 a minute is bang on.

where exactly did you pressurise the system and held 3 bar?

Fuel line running to fuel rail

In other news I cleaned the earth behind passenger rear light and sprayed multi plug for tachometric relay with wd40 and she now holds 2.5-3.0 bar with vacuum removed

Perhaps bad earth held pump back under load ??

Going to go for a proper drive later but I'm hoping she's sorted

Glad I didn't drop £354 to repair a working AFM !!!

Had her a good 40 + mile run and I'm pleased to say she's been transformed!

All good now problem seems to have been a bad connection either on the fuel pump earth or tacho relay plug
