Brake Servo adjustment screw

Recommended Posts

What does the screw actually adjust?

Getting about 20 mm pedal movement at the pedal before I get any resistance against the rod after that normal pedal.

The master cylinder is off and before I delve into taking the servo out,  have been looking at Fig 8.16 in Haynes and there are 2 dimensions A and B,  which dimension (s) actually actually change when you screw in and out?   The screw rod (MC side) seems to have a lot of play in it (in and out) .

Thanks in advance

there is no adjustment for B, you are only adjusting how far from the MC the pushrod is  (dimension A)

Thats what I thought from the Figure in Haynes, was not sure why they were quoting it...

i guess to ensure you are using an appropriate replacement unit, maybe some are adjustable but I haven't seen any on a 205.
