Evening gang!

After laying dormant for about 3 or four years I recently decided to get my GTI6 205 running and driving again.

I’ve had starter/alternator woes which I’ve changed however I’ve got a ticking engine now.

I’ve not warmed it through yet but do you think it’s likely that my car has decided to bend a valve whilst laying dormant or do you think I could have a sticky lifter?

it’s never been noisy before - this pisses me off!

Sticky lifters, get it warm then a good thrashing, fresh oil will help after that.

Injectors can also be noisy.
