Camshafts from xu10j4 to xu9j4mi16

Hello! I have a xu9j4 mi16 engine and i want to ask if i can put in my engine camshafts from an xu10j4 engine.

Yes, but there are some differences:

 

Inlet: If from a 405 (which doesn't have brake vacuum) it's a straight swap, other than the timing tang etc. If from an S16 (which has brake vacuum), you'll need to plug the end of the camshaft, preventing oil supply. My best advice is to fit an XU10J4 thermostat housing and fit a cam seal behind the tang.

 

Exhaust: straight swap, except it isn't drilled/tapped for PAS pump pulley.
