Idle control screw clean

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, just wondered what’s the best process to remove the idle control screw to clean up and replace o ring, just worried I won’t be able to get it set right again when replacing it

Do it when the car is already warmed through, count the turns to bottom it out & then remove it for cleaning, screw it all the way back in and out the same number if turns so nothing should have changed.

Personally, I've always done it with the pipe between the AFM & TB removed so I can spray carb cleaner through the bypass path & use a cotton bud to clean it but also to give the accessible parts of the throttle body a clean too.
