Gaz D 5 Posted November 19, 2022 Can anyone please tell me what the pipe spigot thingy is for on the left inlet tract of the satchell throttle bodies inlet . Looks like some sort of breather port? TIA
Biggles 65 Posted November 19, 2022 Not seen one but sounds like servo pipe tapping.
Anthony 1,000 Posted November 23, 2022 As per Michael's post above, it's a vacuum take-off for the brake servo. If you're running a GTi-6 engine then you can potentially blank this off and run the brake servo vacuum directly from the vacuum pump, assuming that's in good working order (they can get weak with age/wear).
Gaz D 5 Posted November 24, 2022 Thanks Micheal and Anthony. As you say my servo runs off the pump so should I just blank it off or would it be worth fitting a tee and connecting it to the servo as well?
welshpug 1,619 Posted November 24, 2022 Dont need to complicate things and the pump is suffucient on its own.
