Alcon 4-pots Gr. A brake pads

Recommended Posts

Job_Miami

Hi,

I bought and installed a nice set of Gr. A Alcon 4-pot calipers for my 205 GTI Turbo racer.

Refreshed the calipers, new seals, bolts and rvs brake line adapter fittings.
The used bells/discs, pads are also fitted.

So far all good, all works and looking great!

I want to use them during the next track day, so went looking for some fresh brake pads… Do they still exist??

Does anybody know where I can find them?

Or can tell me what the true dimensions of the brake pads are? (The ones I have almost look homemade).

There is so little information I can find about the set.

Any help, ideas or information about the set is welcome.

Greetings, Job

Ferodo FRP101 should be the pad shape that you need.

Thank you so much, very helpful information!

I forgot to mention that there is a part number on the pads I have, 3434F GG

Google showed no results earlier.

Today I searched for Ferodo FRP101 pads and found an Alcon brake pad cross reference list. First pad on there is the 3435, which has roughly the same dimensions as the pads I have.

Biggest difference is that mine are right-angled and flat at the bottom.

This makes me think that the pads I already have do have the original shape, but are nowhere to be found anymore.
I quess a FRP101 type pad will be the closest to an original spec one.

Thanks again, I was really stuck in my search.
