Help identifying original PAS pump

Recommended Posts

barneys66

Evening all - going to be retrofitting PAS to my 1.6 (1.9 engine) targa car, and found this pump in my spares pile.

Can someone tell me if it's original and therefore should bolt up?  I know I'll need a different alternator bracket, and possibly more, but thought I'd  start here before compiling the wanted ad.

For info it's going to drive a 2.6 Xsara rack, so please jump in now if you don't think they'll be a good match (I used a Saxo electric pump with the Xsara rack in my other car, but want to try a stock pump on this one).

Thanks!

Yes , that'll do (+ two brackets + oil lines and hoses) ... quite a few PAS pumps from other Peugeot/Citroen from that era fits on 205 .

I'm driving Xsara 2.4 rack with OE mechanical PAS pump - works like a charm !

Thanks Damir!

I've got the reservoir and its bracket, and will get the pipes made, but do you have a pic of the alternator/pump bracket(s), and/or the tensioner - am I right in thinking the alternator tensioner is different between car with/without PAS?

You can use petrol 405 hard press. oil line , fits 205 directly ... return line also 405 or 306 if using 405/306 PAS reservoir , see if there's any 405 XU petrols at the scrappy for spares (or 306 with the 8v XU's) .. even the bog standard 405 1.6 often had PAS .

I've mix of 405 and 306 oil lines on mine ... with the 306 PAS reservoir .

Tensioner is little bit different , but you already have main long tensioner piece on that pump which stretches from the pump up top to the adjustment bit .

Need main alu. bracket which bolts onto the block for the both PAS pump and alternator , and additional smaller bracket which fastens on the pump end and engine block .
