I need to replace my master cylinder and i'm wondering what peeps are generally replacing them with?

1.6 GTI 1985, i believe i'm after 20.6mm diameter master cylinder

Could anyone help or point me the direction where i could get one?

Standard  is sufficient,  most motorfactors will be able to suppy one for you, they aren't  unique to a 205

Yes , it's the same MC and fit's 205 GTi (VW's , Renault's , Seat's) ... only , you'll need one blanking plug to cap off one MC outlet , because 1.6 GTi uses 3 brake lines (2 front left/right , 1 towards the back till the split connection).

Blanking plugs are usually included within the MC package , if not , machinist can make you one or can make it by yourself from an old screw .
