Omex 200 set up

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I’m upgrading to Omex 200 ignition only set up. My 8v 1.9 is currently on Weber carbs.

I need to buy the parts in advanced and want to make sure I get the right bits. Here’s my list so far, with a few questions:

1. The Omex 200 ecu (obviously!)

2. TPS for carbs

3. harness (think this is the right one?)

4. Crank sensor - I assume a standard one for the 1.9 is fine?? I don’t know if mine is there still after it was switched to carbs

5. Coil pack? Any ideas where to get?

6. custom made HT leads - again any ideas who can provide these?

Anything else?

Thanks

Rob

Was your 1.9 a D6B with Jetronic or a DKZ with Motronic and cat? Only the DKZ has the right flywheel to use a crank sensor.

As for coil pack and HT leads there should be a way to use Peugeot parts from a XU with coil pack.

It’s an 89 model with no cat, so I assume D6B. I was told maybe an Mi16 crank sensor would work, or at least that would be one option.

You'll need either a DKZ or the larger XU9J4/XU10J4/XU10J4R/XU10J4RS flywheel, if you want to use a 60-2 crank sensor. The larger flywheels are a dime a dozen and it's easy enough to convert to a 1.9L Mi16 clutch.

A 200mm flywheel from a XU5M, XU5JP or XU7JP can also do the trick.

Something out of a 8v XU with a coil pack, watever is more common and cheap.

Citroen Zx 1.9i leads and coil pack are what you need
