Hot start issues

Hi lads, 

 

Just wondering if anyone else has had hot starting issues with their cars? Mines is a 954cc engine with new starter, coil, plugs, ignition leads, rotor arm and cap, fresh battery. Any routine maintanance parts are brand new as its just back on the road after a long time standing. 

 

Starts up first time when cold, even after sitting for a few weeks with a little tickle of choke and runs like a sewing machine with no issues at all. 

 

After a long run though when it's up to temp it can take a few winds over with the key if I've pulled in anywhere for fuel etc to start and is a little spluttery until I give it a few revs. Any ideas??

Guessing it's carburetor TU , if so , best to clean and rebuild the carb with new gaskets , diaphragms , new needle valve , adjust the float , mixture screws atc.

Modern ethanol blend unleaded fuel is harsh on carburetors .

 

Hot starting problems are usually fuel related ..
