205 shell/engine weight?

Forgive my lack of knowledge but would like to know the approximate weight of a bare 205 shell and the weight of the engine and gearbox if anyone could assist, I'm looking to put my 205 on some castors to make it more maneuverable for in the workshop, thanks.

I'll take a stab at around 300-350Kg, if there's no suspension etc.

I've done this recently - you can just about make one of them out in this picture:

 

 

Some oak with a slot for the jacking point to sit in. Then some 3x3 pine and plywood screwed together with 4 x castor wheels per platform.

 

It's nice and secure and makes working on the car in a single garage a lot easier! I also have a fixed electric hoist on an I beam in the garage roof, so can lift engines out then move the car out of the way on the castors.

This was my 2nd attempt - 1st attempt with some lower rated castor wheels did not end well! So if you're planning on using them with the engine in don't be tempted to go for a castor wheel with a lower load capacity.

4 of us very easily lifted a 205 shell and walked it down a driveway and up a beavertail Truck, where we proceeded to cut the roof off

 

a bare 8v engine is 78 kilos, be box is about 35 kilos.
