205Rallee 59 Posted May 4, 2021 Hi, does anyone know the size of the fifth gear bearing? I have the early box on my 89 Euro Rallye and I think the bearing has a larger outer diameter than in the later boxes which is 66mm external disk with 62mm internal diameter. I’m not sure if the bigger earlier bearings are available, the later ones might fit but with a sleeve, but I’ve no idea on the size. 205Rallee 59 Posted May 4, 2021 The old nfp bearing is 25x66x17 and I think it is a cylindrical type. I can’t find one anywhere on t’internet. The later bearing which is easily available is 25x62x17 but that would need a sleeve pressing on it of 66mm external diameter and 62mm internal diameter and 17mm wide to fit in the recess in the gearbox housing. I guess I’ll have to find someone to make me a one off sleeve to then press on the bearing. I hate old cars, why is nothing simple..... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
