Dropped off my XU5JA head for refurbishment. Was told i need a new cam and valve "pushers".

Any recommendation on what to buy? If at all possible?

Camshaft , i'd find good second hand OE item ... not sure if new aftermarket cams are any good in terms of metallurgy and factory specs (lift , duration , etc. ) .

Valve lifters , if not badly worn/dished , they can be resurfaced .. new aftermarket lifters i'd go for - TRW , INA , AE (Federal Mogul) .

8V buckets wear through the hard, nitrided surface. If let go too far, you may as well throw them in the bin. I’d buy new.

Those "Ajusa" seem to be only still making OE replica by the aftermarket .. others need to be ordered , if there's any left on stock .

Unsure about the quality , never used "Ajusa" parts myself .

I've heard that some aftermarket camshafts tend to be suspicious in terms of hardening process .

Think i'd try to find an second hand head , as an camshaft and lifter donor or complete as an replacement for what you have now .

I see. I am in Norway. Limited supply of good OE examples here, any place to source a good OE example in europe?

I agree with Damir. I'd be looking for a good second hand cam with matching buckets. Once you separate them and mismatch, you're headed for disaster.
