Front Panel Replacement - Inner Wing Gaps

Recommended Posts

DanRobM

I've had a go at eyeing up a replacement front panel I bought about 6 years ago. (it's a long winded project). So today I've managed to get it bolted/clamped in place so far but on the driver's inner wing I'm getting a gap instead of it running the same as the inner profile when it's pushed up against the side panel. I can't say the same for the passenger side as it's cut out at the moment

I'm assuming the front panel is bent wrong or are there different ones to base models?

Any recommendations on suppliers for another panel?

Cheers

anything other than oem will be exactly like what you already have I think, your best bet is to separate the parts as all too often they are not spot welded together very accurately, using self tapping screws to attach the panels then bolt on some wings and a bonnet will help get stuff aligned.

also having some reference measurements off another car will help.
