xu9jaz to replace a xu9ja?

Recommended Posts

I think I already know the answer to this, but I have acquired a xu9jaz engine and I still need an engine for my 309 gti (headbolt snapped in the block); would the later cat/motronic engine run OK on jetronic management?

I assume no, for what it's worth..

If you need to change the timing belt then put a XU9JA camshaft while you're at it.

Personally I'd convert it fully to Motronic 1.3 then. It is so much smoother.
